Relay: Load Balancing
Relay distributes incoming traffic across multiple Forge instances to improve availability and throughput. Configure health checks to automatically remove unhealthy backends, terminate SSL at the load balancer with certificates from Certify (planned), and choose from round-robin, least-connections, or IP-hash routing algorithms.

Why Relay
Automatic Failover
Health checks run every 5 seconds. Unhealthy backends are removed from the pool instantly and restored automatically when they recover.
SSL Termination
Terminate TLS at the load balancer and forward plain HTTP to your backend instances. Certificates from Certify (planned) are provisioned automatically.
Flexible Routing
Round-robin for even distribution, least-connections for varied workloads, IP-hash for session affinity. Switch algorithms without downtime.
